We Build India: What Our Tagline Means on Every Project

Every construction company has a line under its logo. At Uniq Builders Mysuru, ours is We Build India, and people sometimes ask whether three words that large can mean anything on a single house in Vani Vilas Mohalla or a small warehouse near Mandya. It is a fair question, and the honest answer is that a tagline only matters if you can check it against what happens on site.

We have been working since 2009, and over 17 years we have delivered 200+ projects across six cities: Mysuru, Bengaluru, Mandya, Srirangapattana, Chamarajanagar and Kollegala. None of that is a nation. But every home, office and factory is a small piece of the country’s built fabric, and the way each one is planned, approved and finished decides whether it serves a family or a business for decades.

This article explains what the tagline commits us to in practical terms, and how you can hold any builder, including us, to the same standard.

Building India starts with building it properly

A slogan about the country can easily become decoration. We read it the other way round: if the work is meant to add to India, it has to be work that lasts, that is legal, and that the owner fully understands. In daily practice that means three things.

• Legal from the first drawing. A building without plan sanction, khata or proper utility connections is a liability, not an asset. Every one of our packages includes free assistance for government licensing work.
• Engineered, not improvised. Structural design is done with a soil test, so the foundation responds to the actual ground rather than an assumption.
• Written down. Construction proceeds to a written specification, so the owner knows what materials and finishes they are paying for before a brick is laid.

When you evaluate any builder, ask for evidence of these three. A company that hesitates on approvals, skips the soil test or offers only a verbal list of materials is not building anything durable, whatever its tagline says.

One team under one roof

The second meaning we attach to the phrase is responsibility. Our core practice areas, architecture, structure, interiors and construction, are delivered in-house. The engineers, architects, surveyors and craftsmen are on our own payroll.

For a homeowner, this matters more than it sounds. When design, structure and execution sit with different parties, a leaking terrace or a cracked beam can turn into a long argument about whose fault it is. With one accountable team, there is one number to call. It also shortens the loop between the drawing board and the site, because the architect who drew the elevation can speak directly to the site engineer building it.

Design is where this starts. Through our architectural design service, you choose from 3D elevations and pick the one that gets built, receive working drawings for all floors with up to three rounds of revisions, and can plan smart-home features and energy-efficient solutions at the drawing stage, when changes cost the least.

Every scale of project, the same discipline

India is not only built from houses. The tagline has to hold across the kinds of work we actually take on, which span seven services:

We also take up renovation work and interiors for existing and old houses. Much of Mysuru’s charm lives in older homes, and improving what already stands is as much a part of building the country as putting up something new.

Honest pricing and clear boundaries

Trust is part of any building, and it starts with the quote. Our construction packages are published with starting rates, and terms and conditions apply:

• Premium at ₹1,999 per sq ft, premium standard construction
• Gold at ₹2,499 per sq ft, modern semi-luxury construction with complimentary interiors
• Platinum at ₹2,999 per sq ft, fully customised luxury with interiors included
• Villa, a one-stop solution from plot buying to handover, with custom pricing

Every package covers design and drawings, government approvals handled by us (statutory fees are paid directly by the client), construction to a written specification, and after handover a workmanship warranty and one year of free service.

We are equally clear about what is not in a starting rate. Site conditions such as rock excavation, additional foundation depth or imported filling earth are quoted separately after we visit the plot. The written specification is shared during consultation, and the final figure is confirmed after a free site visit. When comparing builders, look for this kind of separation. A quote that seems to include everything with no site visit usually means the surprises arrive later.

Staying with the building after handover

A country is not built on the day a key is handed over. The one year of free service and the workmanship warranty exist because the first monsoon and the first summer reveal things no inspection can. Owners living abroad get the same attention during construction: our NRI support covers plot identification and purchase help, registration and documentation, and photo and video updates through the build.
